We're not the only ones obsessed with Maybelline's Instant Age Rewind Concealer. Those ingredients are welcome additions, but if you buy this product, I wouldn't ditch your eye cream any time soon. The formula also includes ingredients, like goji berry and haloxyl, that will nix dark circles and fine lines over time. This, combined with shadow-neutralizing, redness-concealing pigments, makes your under-eyes look bright, smooth, and refreshed.
Concealer age rewind skin#
When it dries down, it doesn't look powdery on top of your skin or settle into fine lines. It's not matte or luminous, but it does have a bit of a sheen. The finish of this concealer formula is also really important. If I apply too much, or I'm layering this over foundation, sometimes I'll use my Beautyblender (damp, of course) to pick up any excess pigment. Just twist the top of the tube to push the pigment up and out of the cushy sponge tip (one or two clicks give you enough for one under-eye), dot the sponge tip onto your skin, and blend it out with your finger. And because it's so thin, it blends really, really easily it doesn't take much effort to diffuse it over your skin. You can even get a sense of your skin's natural texture and luminosity when wearing it. It completely covers up dark circles, the shadows along the inner corners of your eyes, and redness on and along your nose and cheeks without adding any obvious cakey texture to your skin. Yes, I know, it sounds obnoxious, but some people like to invest in good quality cashmere sweaters I like to invest in good quality complexion enhancers. I'll use drugstore lipsticks, liners, and mascaras, but if it's meant to perfect my skin, I always go for the pricey stuff. Basically, I'm a brat about base products. And setting powder, blush, and bronzer, too.
